Cézanne, restored for the way you live
This collection presents selected Paul Cézanne paintings prepared from archival source files. Any rights conclusion is limited to the named work, intended sales territory and documented provider file, not the artist's output as a whole. GeMarkt’s archive contains 300+ work records; check the linked Etsy listing for current availability and options. Twelve are below.

A considered place to start

The Card Players, 1892–95
Two men, a bottle, and not one wasted gesture — the quietest of his five Card Players. Shadow usually swallows the cards themselves; restored, their whites read clean against all that brown.

Mont Sainte-Victoire with Large Pine, 1887
The pine branch bends to follow the ridge line — tree and mountain rhyming across the valley. The greens run from olive to viridian, and tired copies merge them into one; here they stay apart.

The Basket of Apples, 1893
The table edge refuses to line up on either side of the cloth — deliberate, and the first thing to check on any copy. It is also one of the rare canvases he signed.

The Large Bathers, 1898–1905
Seven years of work and still unfinished at his death — the bare patches are his, not damage. The trees arch into a vault over the figures, and the blues beneath run from powder to slate.

Boy in a Red Vest, 1888–90
He painted his young Italian model four times; this is the version with the head resting on a hand — stolen from a Zurich collection in 2008 and recovered four years later. The vermilion vest against all that slate blue is the whole picture, and both are back at full strength.

Apples and Oranges, 1899
Everything on this table tips toward you and nothing falls. The crumpled white cloth hides a dozen buried colours — the first thing a dull copy loses, and the first thing we brought back.

Six more, in the order he painted them — from the early years to late Provence.

The Artist's Father, Reading L'Événement, 1866
Paint laid on with the knife, thick as mortar. He put L'Événement — the paper that printed his friend Zola — into his banker father's hands, and hung his own still life on the wall behind.

The House of Dr Gachet in Auvers, 1873
Painted in Auvers at Pissarro's side, outside the house of the doctor who would care for Van Gogh seventeen years later. The palette is still Impressionist; the roof angles already are not.

The Bay of Marseilles, Seen from L'Estaque, 1885
He described this coast to Pissarro as red roofs against a sea like a playing card. That dense, unbroken blue is merciless on a weak reproduction — it needs the depth it keeps here.

Woman with a Coffeepot, 1895
Probably a servant at the family house, painted with the gravity of an altarpiece. The upright spoon in the cup is the still point of the whole composition — small, and worth every care in the restoring.

Pyramid of Skulls, 1901
He kept skulls on his studio shelf and painted them the way he painted fruit. The bone whites are really greys, greens and roses — a dark copy turns them to chalk; this one keeps them alive.

The Gardener Vallier, 1906
Vallier tended the garden at Les Lauves and sat for him in the last months of his life. The blacks here are built from green and blue — a depth that survives only when the darks are restored with restraint.

Choosing a format
Rolled poster
The cheapest way in — pick it if you already own a frame or want one chosen for the room, not the shipment.
Framed paper
Arrives ready to hang, glass over paper — the classic museum-print look, and the safest default for most rooms.
Stretched canvas
No glass, no glare — texture close to a painting's, and a natural fit for painterly surfaces.
Framed canvas
The canvas texture with a finished edge — the most furniture-like of the four, and the largest sizes live here.
Prices and available formats vary by listing; Etsy shows the current options and currency for that work. Undecided? Our print format guide compares the four honestly.
